February 12, 2008 - Gina Pastor's Preparation was at her Family's famous "Acosta-Pastor" ancestral home, standing mighty on the nearby C. Tirona St. Batangas City.
Built by Gobernadorcillo Don Alejo Acosta in 1883, the house showcases antique furniture, musical and time pieces and still boasts of its original early 19th century flooring that give us the feel of the life during the Spanish era. Giant religion icons, such as St. Francis of Assisi, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Christ the King, stand in almost every spot of the house.
Old photographs hang on the walls—reminders of the family lineages from both sides.
The Basilica of Immaculada Conception built from 1851-1857, its façade and interior is a stunning model of early Rennaissance architecture. His Eminence Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales was the one of the seven presiding priests during the wedding ceremony.
