What is Cinematic Photography? For us in Cinematic Concepts Production, our photography is influenced by story-telling. It is difficult to achieve most of the time since you can only take one frame whereas in doing videos it is easier for us to imagine how the shots are going to be edited and tell what transpired during the wedding.
It is hard to justify what makes a photo cinematic unless it is one frame taken from a motion picture. However, movies are just a series of frames. Each frame is a photo and when it is taken at the rate of 24 frames per sec or 30 fps you will now see it's smooth movement. This is now cinematography which is the art or technique of motion-picture photography.
For Wedding Photo/Video Coverages, I always shoot for a reason with an end result in mind; which is keeping in mind the subject, time, place or setting of what will be captured. For me that's what makes it cinematic.
